A new version of the popular e-commerce plugin has been released on the 10th of March.As reported by the official development blog, WooCommerce 4.0 is a major release, which includes a new version of WooCommerce Admin, now part of the core, and a new activity panel, which will allow its users to manage the order workflow easier.

Due to the new JavaScript requirements and the integration of a new version of Action Scheduler, the new 4.0 version might not be fully compatible with websites running with older WooCommerce versions, which is why testing it in your staging environment – after a manual backup – is highly recommended before the actual upgrade.
